HSL-45 Wolfpack
I first painted the Wolf in May 2003, then again in 2006, 2007 and in 2008. There were a few times where I did touch up jobs.

When HSL-45 contacted me the first time, they really didn't know what they wanted,,just that it HAD to look like a wolf. The old paint scheme
reminded them of a rat instead of a wolf. I wanted the art to reflect their mission-find the enemy and destroy him! What better way then a mean Wolf.
Also at the time I worked at March Field Museum so they flew the H-60 up there so I could paint it.
We had alot of prep and cleaning  to do. The baby blue tail was really
dirty and well,, ugly.
We decided to keep the yellow lightning bolt. As far as the wolves, they just wanted them mean. They suggested more on the boom, but wanted them more subdued, like just barely seeing them appear from the blue.
Now the fun part-air brushing the wolves...
Roxane worked on all the markings!
THEY REALLY LIKED THE TAIL AND I WAS PRESENTED WITH A REALLY NEAT PLAQUE THANKING ME FOR THE WORK.
HERE ARE A COUPLE PHOTOS OF THE WOLF FLYING AROUND..
